For several years, I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Andrew Armstrong. I was the Operations Manager for 7 years with this company.
Andrew’s varied role included QS/Estimation/Project Management. This was a very demanding position as we were an incredibly busy medium sized construction business starting a new residential build every week. (50+ per year)
I have been asked to write a reference for Andrew and without any hesitation I immediately said yes. It is not often that you come across an individual that ticks all the boxes and dots all the i’s as an employee. I actually googled words to use that I felt could “encapture and showcase all of Andrews qualities & abilities” for this reference which created some chaos in my brain as the 100+ adjectives all described him perfectly!

Andrew was conscientious, honest, confident, resourceful, methodical, diligent and a true professional. A very skilled man with a long history in the building industry which showed with his knowledge, adaptability, and his problem solving skills.
I liken Andrew to this quote “Look after the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves”. We were hugely confident in his QS abilities. He took absolute control & safe keeping of our companies financial budgets within his work but he also took care of our clients. He too had their best interests at heart. He was empathy, logical, articulate and had creative ideas if any problem arose. His communication skills are top notch and he just makes people feel valued and important.
Clients, suppliers and colleagues alike all warmed quickly to his friendly, calm and happy disposition. A rare skill to possess.
